Conventional Implants

Standard or Conventional dental implants are made of 2 pieces which consists of the root component and the tooth component in separate bits. Conventional dental implants are long-term solution for missing teeth.
Standard or conventional implants have been used for decades to replace missing teeth or to secure a loose-fitting denture. These titanium structures, implanted into the jaw, have made it possible for millions of people to chew comfortably and to confidently speak and smile without fear of showing missing teeth or having a loose denture cause an embarrassing situation. These implants are successful (probably over 90% of the time), safe and long-lasting. If you have a missing tooth or missing teeth or a loose denture, consult with Dr. Wesley Shankland to see if an implant would be helpful for you. He uses several types of implants and he can help you determine which would be best for you.
