Botox

Botox Cosmetic is used to treat frown lines and crow’s feet. It has also been FDA approved for the treatment of intense clenching and certain types of headaches. Dr. Wesley Shankland is trained to use Botox, and when appropriate, uses this in conjunction with his other procedures.

BOTOX Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.

BOTOX Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Dr. Wesley Shankland can inject these muscles with BOTOX Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines

between your brows.  BOTOX Cosmetic works beneath the skin’s surface and targets the underlying muscle activity that causes frown lines and crow’s feet. This procedure is very safe and effective and after just one appointment, within a day or so, you will be amazed how smooth your skin will appear.

If you’re concerned about frown lines or crow’s feet, make an appointment to consult with Dr. Wesley Shankland. There is no charge for the consultation.

BOTOX is also approved by the FDA to treatment intense clenching and for the treatment of certain types of headaches. Again, Dr. Shankland may be able to help your headaches many different ways and BOTOX is a very effective way for some headaches and certainly for patients who intensely clench their teeth no matter what type of treatment has been used in the past to stop this annoying and destructive activity.
